Differing fortunes for Saints contingent in U21 Euros quarter-finals
SAINTS defender Ronnie Edwards is through to the semi-finals of the U21 Euros after the Young Lions beat Spain 3-1 on Saturday evening. Defender CJ Egan-Riley has joined Marseille after rejecting a new contract at Burnley. The 22-year-old played a key role in the Clarets' promotion to the Premier League but has chosen to make the switch to Ligue 1. Marseille announced the signing on Saturday after Egan-Riley passed a medical, and he will link up with his new club following the conclusion of England's campaign at the European Under 21 Championship. Burnley revealed earlier this week that Egan-Riley had rejected a 'significant long-term contract' at Turf Moor.
